Your Coach + Accountability Partner: Megan Gaul comes with not only 5 years of coaching experience, but a personal journey of losing and keeping off 100 lbs.
Hi, I’m Megan.
In college and in my early working years, I was in your shoes.
I was heavier than I wanted to be (235 lbs, to be exact). And I was using food to cope with my life.
I was mercilessly self-conscious, always striving to do better, be perfect, and make no mistakes. But my energy and my mental health were perpetually running on empty. I was stressed. And to handle those emotions and stress levels, I ate.
But the diet industry was so contradictory, and so overwhelming. I had tried plans and programs in the past to become skinny, and they hadn’t lasted. Change felt impossible.
When I look back on my life at that time, I feel compassion for Past-Megan. She was desperate to find a better way to handle food, but she didn’t yet have the tools or the direction. There were simple changes she could have made, but she was too overwhelmed (and she didn’t have the accountability and help) to do anything about it.
In 2018, I decided to do something different. I got extremely curious, so I started researching. I began to uncover the short list of simple changes that allows all people to find a lower and happier weight, even if you use food to cope right now. And in the course of one year, I lost approximately 100 lbs and built an incredible well of self-compassion and self-trust.
That short list of healthy actions I learned? I still do them every single day. And they help me prioritize not only my healthy weight, but a positive body image too.
They are acts of kindness towards myself. That feeling of positivity towards myself and my body is what makes them non-negotiable. My body-positivity is what keeps the weight off.
Because of this newfound confidence and self-love, every other facet of my life (work, relationships, and leisure) has improved too. This transformation is what pushed me to start coaching others to do the same.

Before working with Megan I was racked with guilt and discouragement over my overeating tendencies and I felt like eating was out of my control. I also felt not-so-great physically with joint pain and lethargy. I considered weight loss injections or medications, but was not comfortable with that approach. Megan brought me to find healthy habits that work for me specifically, terrific advice for nutrition and food choices, and a deeper understanding of my thought processes regarding eating. The result is that I have developed comfortable new habits with eating and exercise, and more effective control over how I eat and how I think about eating and food. I have more energy, less joint pain, and I can reel myself in better from any hurdles. I’m partaking on a journey to a healthy lifestyle, not a quick fix. I have lost weight as I gained mindfulness and a more positive outlook.
