No — and honestly, any coach or professional who says they can guarantee weight loss is lying. Every body is different, and real change depends on a lot of factors: consistency, mindset, support, and circumstances. And most of all, real change depends on you.
What I can guarantee is expert guidance, personalized support, unceasing true faith that you are capable of your results, and tools that empower you to make sustainable progress. My goal is to help you build habits that stick — whether your goal is fat loss, more energy, or a better relationship with food.
Life happens! You can reschedule up to 3 times during your program with at least 48 hours’ notice. Less than that? The session may be forfeited (unless it's an emergency — I’ll always do my best to be flexible when needed).
Payments can be made in either 1 lump sum, 2 installments (30 days apart), or 4 monthly installments via:
- Zelle: megan.gaul@partakemealplanning.com or 347-633-1731
- Venmo: @Megan-Gaul-3
Your first payment is due before our onboarding session to hold your spot. Receipts furnished upon request.
Short answer: Yes, with documentation. You’ll need a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) from your doctor and approval from your insurance or plan administrator confirming that medically-necessary health coaching qualifies.

This program is about sustainable progress towards your goal— not perfection. My clients often tell me they feel more confident, in control, and free around food, which is what helps them achieve a downward trend on the scale. You'll learn how to stop starting over and how to keep going, even when life throws curveballs, which is what makes my program more suited for folks who want to KEEP their downward scale progress (not just bounce back up again a few months later).
Tracking is an efficient tool, especially if fat loss is your goal — but it's not the only way. There are tons of strategies to create a calorie deficit without traditional tracking. What matters most is building a rhythm of mindfulness and planning around food. I’ll help you find a method that fits your personality, lifestyle, and goals.
Nope! I don’t make cookie-cutter meal plans because I know–from my experience and that of my clients–that these only last a few weeks, at the very best. Instead, you’ll get the lasting stuff. Meal planning tools, new skills and systems, and ideas that match your food preferences, cooking skill, schedule, and hunger needs. We’ll build a system that feels doable, flexible, and even fun.
Not at all. I’m not a personal trainer, and my approach isn’t workout-based. That said, if movement is part of your goal, I’ll help you choose something that feels energizing and realistic — not punishing. It’s about supporting your health and building the habits to keep moving (for life!).
We’ll plan around it! With some advance notice, we can shift session dates or adjust your plan. I’ll also show you how to stay grounded even when things get hectic.
Just reply to any of my emails, or bring your questions to our next session. I’m always happy to help.
Can I pay for the Partake 1-1 Tailored Weight-Loss Coaching Program with HSA or FSA Funds?
Using HSA or FSA Funds for Weight-Loss Coaching
Some clients may be able to use HSA or FSA funds for weight-loss–related services if their situation complies to IRS rules and guidelines. Weight-loss expenses are eligible only when they are prescribed by a licensed healthcare provider to treat a specific diagnosed disease, and when your HSA/FSA administrator accepts the documentation.
Eligibility is not guaranteed, even with a doctor’s note.
What You May Need
To determine whether your participation in this coaching program qualifies, your healthcare provider and HSA/FSA administrator will typically require:
1. A diagnosed medical condition
The IRS considers a weight-loss program potentially eligible only when it treats a specific disease diagnosed by a physician (for example, obesity, Type 2 diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, PCOS, or other conditions where weight loss is part of an evidence-based treatment plan). This varies case by case and must be confirmed with your provider.
2. A Letter of Medical Necessity (LOMN)
Your healthcare provider will need to supply written documentation that includes:
- Your diagnosis
- Why weight loss is medically necessary for that condition
- The specific treatment recommended
- How this program supports the treatment plan
FSAs commonly require a LOMN before reimbursing expenses. HSA users should keep the documentation on file in case of review or audit.
Expenses That May Be Eligible With Proper Documentation
If your provider diagnoses a condition and recommends weight-loss treatment, and your HSA/FSA administrator accepts the documentation, the following types of expenses may qualify:
- Physician-prescribed weight-loss programs (for example, Weight-Watchers, Jenny Craig, Optavia, Partake 1-1 Tailored Weight-Loss Coaching)
- Nutrition or dietitian services prescribed to treat a diagnosed condition
- Prescription weight-loss medications
- Bariatric surgery
- Exercise programs or gym memberships only when prescribed as treatment for a diagnosed disease
Approval depends on your plan administrator’s specific rules.
Expenses That Are Generally Not Eligible
IRS guidance typically excludes expenses that are considered general health or wellness rather than medical treatment. Examples include:
- Gym memberships without a qualifying medical prescription
- Meal replacement shakes or specialty foods used for general dieting
- Organic or “healthy” food purchases
- Personal training not prescribed for a diagnosed condition
- Weight-loss programs used solely for appearance or general wellness
These are normally classified as non-medical and are not reimbursable.
Steps for Clients Considering Using HSA/FSA Funds
- Speak with your healthcare provider about whether weight loss is medically necessary for an existing diagnosis.
- Request a Letter of Medical Necessity, if appropriate.
- Confirm eligibility with your HSA/FSA administrator, as each plan applies IRS rules differently.
- Enroll in the program and keep all documentation and receipts.
